Balmer Lines, Plasma

Scientific paper

Profiles of Hα and Hβ spectral lines emitted from spherically convergent beam fusion plasma source were measured and analyzed. Effects of the cathode voltage on the hydrogen Balmer line profiles were studied. It was found that measured profiles are broadened due to Doppler effect. Doppler width dependence on the voltage applied between electrodes has been found and discussed.
