We derive a cosmological bound on the branching ratio Γ(νH-->νLγ)/Γ(νH -->3νL).. Then we show that, in some of the models proposed which attempt to evade cosmological bounds on the masses of heavy neutrinos through enhancement of the decay mode νH-->3νL, this cosmological bound on the induced rate for the radiative mode νH-->νL γ imposes severe constraints on the parameters of the model.
