A detailed calculation of the capture rate for μ-+d-->νμ+n+n is carried out and the result compared with the latest data. Within the same framework we also calculate the cross sections of ν+d and ν¯+d reactions for incident energies Eν<=170 MeV in view of the importance of these cross sections for studying astrophysical neutrinos with the use of a heavy-water Čerenkov counter.
