ROSAT PSPC observations of fields in the Large Magellanic Cloud was used
to study the large-scale diffuse x ray emission. The x-ray data was used
in combination with additional information from optical, ultraviolet,
and radio observations to determine the physical nature of observed
diffuse x-ray emmision.
