Black Holes: Masses

Scientific paper

The first main result of this paper is that the masses of any sequence of distinct, globally defined, spherically symmetric solutions of the SU(2) Einstein-Yang/Mills equations (i.e., particle-like solutions) converge to 2. In addition, if one considers black-hole solutions of these equations, defined for r > ρ, where ρ is the radius of the black-hole (the event horizon), then it is shown that the masses of any sequence of distinct black-hole solutions converge to ρ+1/ρ.
