The paper presents an analysis of the temporal behavior of 2.2-MeV gamma rays from solar flares and the matter density in the capture region of thermal neutrons generated during the flare. It is shown that the matter density in the subphotospheric region during a flare might experience disturbances. It is concluded that solar flares appear not only in the corona and chromosphere but also in deep subphotospheric layers of the solar atmosphere.
