The analysis of the previous (1981-1999) and recent (2000-2007)
observations of Jupiter has confirmed the semiannual variations in the
north-south asymmetry of polarized radiation in the polar regions of the
planet. The processes of polar aerosol formation are modulated by the
position of the planet relative to the solar equator.
