Stark Broadening: Argon Lines, Stark Broadening: Krypton
Scientific paper
Stark broadening parameters were obtained from wall-stabilized arc measurements for 27 near-infrared transitions of Ar I (4s-4p) and Kr I (5s-5p). In the analysis and evaluation contributions resulting from the influence of ion microfields which lead to asymmetric line profiles in the spectrum of krypton were taken into account. For argon lines asymmetries were not detectable. There is reasonable agreement with most of the literature data.
