The chemistry of matter on the satellites of Saturn is described, on the basis of Voyager data. The relationship between the dimensions of a body in space and its chemical composition is discussed within the framework of the classical analogy of the saturnian satellites, and propotoplanetary matter in the early Solar system. Some possible reasons for the similar nitrogen-rich atmospheres of the earth and the Saturnian satellite Titan are considered. Voyager images of the satellites Titan and Mimas are provided.
