Interferometers give images with an important number of pixels: in the range of a few millions in space. Much more for ground based ones, because of speckles. For this need the author is building a photon counting TV camera of 40 mm diameter. It is an intensified mosaic of 4 CCD. CCD pixels are subdivised in 4x4 subpixels by a photon centroiding processor, yielding a total of 7000000 image elements.
