If the baryon charge asymmetry in the very early universe is attributable to decay of superheavy X-bosons, with violation of CP invariance and of the baryon-charge conservation law, then primordial adiabatic fluctuations would be able to generate entropy perturbations. In a standard universe one can obtain entropy perturbations whose spectrum resembles that of the adiabatic perturbations. In a model with a second-order phase transition due to spontaneous symmetry breaking, the exponential expansion of the universe during the phase-transition era will generate entropy perturbations of fairly substantial scale. A discussion is given of the primordial adiabatic- and the ensuing entropy-perturbation spectra and their role in molding the large-scale structure of the universe.
