The evolution of stars which burn by monopole-catalysed nucleon decay process discussed by Rubakov is investigated. It is found that, if a star contains a sufficient number of monopoles, its radius increases after some stage and finally it dissolves into a diffuse state. However, its lifetime is much longer than the age of the Universe because an energy source is rest mass, much larger than nuclear energy. The neutrino emissivity of such stars is also estimated, and finally the effect of monopole pair annihilations in the star is discussed. It is shown that monopoles must spread by some mechanism in order that a star can burn by the Rubakov process.
