Observations are presented of the 7(0)-6(1) and 1(0)-0(0) lines of CH2OH A(+) near 7 mm. Observations in those two lines are combined in order to distinguish between maser and thermal emission components. Maser features in the 7(0)-6(1) A(+) line were detected in DR 21 (OH), W 51 M and Sgr A-A; no maser action was seen toward Ori-KL and Sgr B2. Thermal emission was observed in both lines toward all those sources, making it possible to determine the CH3OH column densities. The CH3OH abundance (relative to H2) in those sources is estimated to be about 10 to the -7th.
