The high time-resolution observations by the Fast Auroral SnapshoT(FAST) satellite reveal highly structured precipitating particles in the cusp region. Particle and field survey data from a dawn-dusk cusp crossing will be presented. The data show that the DC electric field has small-scale variations superimposed on a large-scale pattern. The large-scale electric field is well correlated with the perturbation magnetic field, indicating a field-aligned current system that reflects a relatively homogenous conductivity. The small-scale variations are believed to be propagating Alfv\a'en waves and correlate with burst-like precipitating electrons. The large-scale electric field and the perturbation magnetic field best correlate with ion structures. Based on the ionospheric stress model, the perturbation magnetic field is in the opposite direction of the drift velocity in the Northern Hemisphere. Hence, it can be concluded that ion structures result from the spacecraft crossing the flow streamlines, each of which has its own individual history of dayside reconnection. The ion structures, therefore, contain information of both the spatial and temporal variations of dayside reconnection.
