The cosmic ray intensity modulation during the August 1972 events is studied using neutron monitor data together with solar wind streamlines calculated on the basis of an approximate kinematic approach. Data from different stations were used. An estimation of the streamline configuration of the solar wind (Archimedes spirals in the steady state) was made.
