The coefficients of absorption and induced emission of gravitational radiation are calculated in the first order approximation for electromagnetically as well as gravitationally bound quantum mechanical many-body systems. The results are extended to systems with arbitrary non-Coulomb two-particle interaction potentials. It is shown explicitly that in all cases the perturbation of the binding potentials of the bound systems by the incident gravitational wave field must be taken into account.
