The Cassini flyby of Jupiter in December 2000 afforded the opportunity
to make measurements of the Jupiter system from two spacecraft
simultaneously over an extended time (2-3 months). This paper will
review the context of the Galileo observations made during this period
and provide a status of the Galileo mission.
