A 19-segment adaptive mirror system for use in solar astronomy has been
developed and operated on the Sacramento Peak Tower Telescope. The
system has proven itself to be capable of improving the quality of an
image, at times achieving 1/3 arcsecond resolution in 1-3 arcsecond
seeing conditions.
