The Pamir data bank contains information on more than 400 gamma-families with energies exceeding 100 TeV. The Pamir data indicate that the transition from the quasi-scaling model to a model with a significant breakdown of scaling leads to a relatively weak growth (not greater than 25%) of the mean radius of the gamma families. It is concluded that, independently of the chemical composition of the primary rays, neither the scaling model nor the quasi-scaling model agrees with the observed characteristics of gamma families generated by primary particles in the energy range 10 to the 15th to 10 to the 16th eV.
