Cosmological redshift time variation is discussed for the case of Dicke-Brans-Jordan (DBJ) cosmologies. The general relation for the redshift and its time variation is determined in the functional form for small redshift values, where all the terms employed retain their conventional meaning. For certain cosmological parameter variations which are within present observational limitations, the DBJ terms in the function can dominate the general relativistic terms. It is also found that the functional form can be positive in DBJ cosmologies, by contrast to general relativistic cosmologies in which the deceleration parameter is greater than zero.
