Rich clusters of galaxies at medium to high redshifts provide us with unique laboratories to study many galaxies in rich environments and their stellar evolution. In particular we intend to use HST and WF/PC II to image cluster galaxies in the near and far-UV. Nearby ellipticals and spiral bulges show dramatic upturns (UVX) in their UV light below 2000A, and the UVX origin remains unknown. Strong constraints can be put on the origin of the UVX by tracing its behaviour in cluster galaxies over redshifts of 0.18
