Solar Corona
Scientific paper
The Symposium emphasised aspects of the corona which are always present, i.e. the so-called quiet corona, although a number of contributions were received relating to activity and transient phenomena. Physical properties studied include velocity fields, abundance variations and MHD waves. Efforts to understand or predict the coronal properties in terms of energy and momentum balance were presented.
