A self-consistent set of MHD equations accounting for finite photon mass has been presented. General properties of these equations have been discussed. A reduced set describing the motions with a length scale exceeding the Compton length of the photon has been derived. Some specific solutions in this reduced set have been analysed in the context of possible improvement in the estimate of the photon mass on the basis of various astrophysical observations.
