The BaBar experiment at the PEP-II B-factory offers excellent
opportunities in quarkonium spectroscopy. Investigation of the
properties of new states like the X(3872) and y(4260) are performed,
aiming to shed light on their nature. Recent BaBar results in this field
are presented.
