After extensively summarizing past studies about Venus rotation, we present a complete study of its the precession-nutation model based on the Hamiltonian theory set up previously by Kinoshita(1977) for the Earth. We show the limitations of the model due to the uncertainty of physical parameters, and we present the prospects for future studies as those concerning the free rotation, the polhody, the effects of the atmosphere.
