The analysis of inelastic interaction of 22.6 and 24 GeV/c proton with free or quasi-free nucleon is made for the events, with Nh ≤ 1 and KM ≤ 1.4, which were measured by the present authors. The observed angular distribution is asymmetric in the forward and backward directions in the center of mass system and is interpreted as being distorted owing to the secondary interactions of the emitted particles in the emulsion nucleus. In order to analyze the experimental data without suffering from this undesirable effect, we classify the events by the degree of asymmetry in the angular distribution. The results suggest, less depending on the multiplicity, the existence of the a priori angular distribution such that the multiple particle production process occurs through the production of the center which emits particles in an isotropic way in its rest system. A possible interpretation of the center of emission is presented.
