Gravitational N-body simulations are an indispensable tool for theoretical studies on cosmic structure formation. I present results from recent cosmological simulations of the formation of large-scale structure of the universe. I discuss the role of N-body simulations in making forecasts for ongoing and future large observational programs. I also present a state-of-the-art simulation of star formation in the early universe.
