Recent measurements of the the oxygen abundance in metal-poor stars have shown a discrepancies between the abundances derived from the forbidden lines at 6300 Angstoms and the permitted lines at 7772 Angstroms. The difference between methods in [O/Fe] can be a factor of several for the most metal-poor stars. Traditionally the two methods are applied to metal-poor stars of different evolutionary status. In order to create a sample of metal-poor stars with measuresments from both sets of lines, we have observed the [O I] lines of several dozen metal-poor stars with the very high resolution (R 130,000) Gecko spectrograph on CFHT. We will present these data as well as lower resolution (R 50,000) spectra that are in the process of being analyzed to discover the origin of the discrepancy.
