Exoplanet discovery and follow-up campaigns are now extending their reach in nearly every direction of physical parameter space: from high to low mass, hot to cold, and young to old. Consequently, exoplanet diversity presents a broad range of challenges for atmosphere and evolution modeling. The uncertain initial conditions of formation and the broad range of expected atmospheric dynamics and chemistry are just a few of these challenges. And, as if giant planets were not complicated enough, we are now facing a growing number of super-earths that present exciting new interior and atmospheric conditions to model. I will discuss some of the problems associated with exoplanet modeling and recent efforts to confront them. Examples where theoretical modeling appears to be keeping up, along with examples where theory is clearly lagging behind will be highlighted.
