The aim of the workshop was to acquaint scientists analyzing and interpreting SOHO or ACE composition data with relevant work in related fields. Special emphasis was be devoted to compositional aspects, ranging from solar composition from the solar interior (e.g. derived from helioseismological results), solar corona (especially from optical observations and solar energetic particle measurements), solar wind composition, to interstellar and galactic composition (ACR, pick­up ions, and galactic cosmic rays). Work in related fields (e.g. stellar astronomy, astrophysics, cosmochemistry, or the theory of nucleosynthesis)and from experiments on other space missions were also addressed in this workshop.
