An X-ray selected sample drawn from observations of the HEAO A-2 sky survey was analyzed statistically. It is complete above a well defined threshold, has a high identification content (97%) and as it was observed in the hard X-ray range, is not affected by photoelectric absorption. Preliminary UV results on BL Lac, Seyfert 1.9 and Seyfert 1 galaxies subsamples are reported.
