A novel Doppler Imaging System (DIS, Wide-field Imaging Fabry-Perot Interferometer), commissioned at the Auroral Station, Longyearbyen, Svalbard, has been used to provide images of neutral wind flows in the thermosphere within the Polar Cap, and in the vicinity of the dayside Polar Cusp. Early DIS results show the mid-day transition between eastward and westward thermospheric winds within the active Polar Cusp.
