A line identification of the blue spectrum of HDE 245770 is given, and a precise classification of spectral type and luminosity class is provided; the observed wavelength of spectral lines or blends is also tabulated. An analysis of three grating spectra indicates that HDE 245770 is an O9.7 IIIe star at a distance of 1.8 plus or minus 0.6 kpc, with an absolute visual magnitude of -5.1 plus or minus 0.7, and a luminosity of 140,000 solar luminosities. For an effective temperature of 30,000 deg K, the radius is calculated to be 14 solar radii; in addition, a mass of about 15 solar masses is determined.
