The spectrum of natural low-frequency oscillations of an ionosphere is
found; the ionosphere is represented by a very simple model of a
homogeneous plasma bounded by two spherical surfaces. The role of ion
collisions and the geomagnetic field is discussed. Reference is made to
the ionospheres of the earth, Mars, and Venus.
