This is an imaging study of the center of the Virgo elliptical galaxy
NGC 4472. HST observations by Crane have shown that no elliptical yet
observed has a center without some sort of power law or cusp. This
galaxy appears well resolved from the ground and therefore offers a test
of whether flat cores exist at all.
