Physical characteristics and chemical compositions of 55 tektites (of the total 100 tektites) found in Tertiary fluviatile sediments in Lusatia (northeast of Dresden, Germany) are described. On the basis of these characteristics, it is concluded that these tektites are more similar to those of the Moravian substrewn field than to those of the Bohemian subfield. A separate Lusatian substrewn field is proposed.
