We study lightlike distributions of codimension 1 for any observer U and we define the U-parallelizations that describe these distributions. We obtain two kinds of representations: Ω and Ω U-. These distributions describe the two different directions of propagation of the system, always respect to the observer U. Relations between different observers respect to a given lightlike distribution are studied, and necessary conditions for the integrability of Ω and Ω U- are given. Finally, we show by a counterexample that if Ω is a foliation then Ω U- is not necessarily a foliation. In this case, the observer U is not a suitable observer.
