The presence of the 0.511 MeV gamma line emission from galactic center is well established from various balloon experiments. Recent results in 1980-82 from balloon and satellite experiments show significant decrease in this line intensity. To confirm these results a large area sodium iodide detector to measure 0.511 MeV line from galactic center was flown on a balloon. The preliminary results indicate flux .0022 photons 1/square cm s.
