The barometric effect of multiple neutrons in cosmic rays is investigated as a function of height, latitude, and type of counter. Experimental data and calculations indicate that an increase in the barometric coefficient with increasing multiplicity may be explained by an increase of the power in the cosmic-ray spectrum with increasing energy.
