This paper will present key results from the recent development of a Light Injection based calibration system for the T2K ND280 ECal units. These will include system layout diagrams, spectral response plots and projected light intensity levels for various input voltages. In addition, the results of Geant43 simulations of the full system will be discussed. The general design and aims of the T2K experiment as a whole will also be briefly considered.
