Polarized proton collisions with up to √ {s} = 500 GeV are planned at Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) in Brookhaven National Laboratory. The commissioning of the polarized proton acceleration up to 100 GeV/c will be done in year 2000 and the first collision at √ {s} =200 GeV will be realized in 2001. It is expected that RHIC will open up a way to explore poorly known gluon and flavor identified sea-quark polarization in the proton. Some of the important spin physics processes and sensitivity of PHENIX measurements will be discussed.
