PSR B1257+12 is the famous millisecond pulsar orbited by a planetary system, the first extrasolar planetary system discovered and the only known extrasolar system of terrestrial-mass planets. Multi-year monitoring of the radio pulsar suggests that clouds of ionized matter, presumably evaporated from the dust in an asteroid belt and ionized by the pulsar wind, are orbiting the pulsar. We propose to investigate the spectrum of the X-ray radiation emitted from this unique system and use the results for the multiwavelength study of the matter in the orbital plane.
