We propose five 50-ks XMM-Newton observations of a large star-forming regions in the disk of M31 during the AO-3 Cycle. The primary objective is to study the properties of X-ray source populations and ISM in each region and relate them to the properties of the corresponding stellar populations and star formation history. These observations will be natural continuation of the of the XMM-Newton PV/GT major axis survey of M31 sampling a significant range of galacto-centric radii.
