Our AO-2 observation of the Seyfert 2 galaxy NGC 7172 (of 12.5 ksec) shows a broad fluorescent iron K alpha line. Given the shape of the line and reverberation mappings of BeppoSax a relativistic disk emission as well as a Compton shoulder seems very unlikely. Most probably the line profile is caused by Doppler broadening, which would allow to place the emission region in the outer broad line region or the inner part of the molecular torus. The proposed 60 ksec observation will allow to undoubtedly discriminate between the various emission scenarios and may will allow us to determine the emission region.
