Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) are the most luminous objects in the universe. Observations show that at least some GRBs are associated with stellar collapses, although the detailed physical mechanisms remain to be understood. One of the frontiers of GRB study is polarimetric observations. We introduce the current status of the polarimetric observations of GRBs and summarize what to be explored through the observations in the near future.
