30 Doradus is the nearest prototypical giant H II region, containing a large number of massive stars and dense interstellar matter. Thus it is possible to observe astrophysical phenomena that are rarely seen elsewhere. We have already studied the kinematic, X-ray, and UV interstellar absorption properties of 30 Dor, and these have revealed several different types of objects that merit further investigation. However, the complex and crowded structure of 30 Dor has hampered our analysis. The high spatial resolution of the available archival HST images of the core of 30 Dor can help solve some questions about the physical nature of four specific types of objects in this region: 1} shocked cloudlets, 2} fast expanding shells, 3} small ring nebulae around massive stars, and 4} a point X-ray source at R 136. With these studies we can understand better the stellar population, the interstellar conditions, and the interaction of stars with the ambient interstellar medium within 30 Dor.
