The study of hadronic systems with strangeness degrees of freedom constitutes one of the forefront areas of research in intermediate-energy nuclear physics to be pursued at the Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility. Several programs are planned for experimentally studying the electromagnetic production of kaons using a wide range of nuclear targets, from hydrogen through helium up to carbon. An overview of these approved experiments and the physics issues addressed by the results are presented.
