We have studied the temperature correlations in compact hypabolic (CH) universes with volume comparable to a cube of the curvature length at present. We show that the COBE constraints on CH models are less stringent since a large amount of cosmic microwave background (CMB) anisotropy on large angular scales can be produced due to the decay of the gravitational potential at the curvature dominant epoch.
