Since the advent of General Relativity the subject of the spacetime topology has deserved a lot of study, with no definite answer until now available about whether or not the space we live in presents a non flat global 'shape'. For a four-dimensional spacetime and excluding non-standard topology in time, this essentially means that one would like to know whether there exists or not non limited finite spatial dimensions. Remarkably, the formal requirement of absence of internal paradoxes together with the experimentally verified Lorentz transformations may provide a way to rule out multiply-connected spatial topologies. The gedanken Experiment here presented follows closely the example of the twins paradox, with appeal to no more than Special Relativity1 concepts...
