Dilatonic d5 gravity appears as special version of d5 gauged SG (special RG flow of scalars). It may be considered as another alternative to Einstein gravity. Its action is: S = (1)/({16π G)} ∫ {M_{d + 1} } {d{d + 1} x√ { - hat {G}} <=ft\{ hat {R} + X(φ )(hat {∇ } φ )2 + Y(φ ) hat {Δ } φ + Φ (φ ) + 4λ 2 } ; \}.} where ϕ is dilaton, Φ(ϕ) is the bulk potential of dilaton. Md+i is d + 1 dimensional manifold whose boundary is d dimensional manifold Md, and we choose Φ(0) = 0 According to AdS/CFT correspondence this action (on its AdS solutions) is SG dual to some QFT living on the boundary of bulk space. The running dilaton describes gauge coupling constant from AdS/CFT point of view. After some tedious work one can find the conformal anomaly of 4d QFT from d5 AdS gravity side...
